Ash Harris-Petrie joins Tidewater school as lower elementary assistant this year. Ash had been working in education since 2014 with experience in both formal education - working as a preschool and first grade teacher as well as in informal education with experience working as a Naturalist for the Maryland Parks, doing conservation education in Latin America, Marine Science education with the New England Science and Sailing Foundation and mostly recently as a museum interpreter at the Calvert Marine Museum. A mom of one, Ash loves to spend free time outdoors and with family, being active doing yoga, paddle boarding and hiking as well as reading and volunteering.
