I am entering my eighth year of leading a Montessori classroom. Before finding
Montessori, I led a traditional elementary classroom for three years and I’ve taught or
worked with kids in some capacity for about 20 years. I have the Montessori Elementary
(6-12) certification from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies (CGMS), a dual Masters of
Education degree from Lesley University in both Elementary Education and Teacher of
Students with Moderate Disabilities, and my bachelor’s degree from Towson University’s
Honors College and College of Fine Arts and Communication as a Theatre major. I am a firm
believer in life-long learning and enjoy nurturing this spark in all children. Outside of school, I
spend most of my time in the company of my husband (Chase), son (Lachlan), and dog
(Obie). Lachlan will also be joining Tidewater in the Lower Elementary classroom. My favorite
hobbies are reading, assembling jigsaw puzzles, and playing all sorts of games.
