Fundraising for Nature
After hearing about the tragic fire at the Battle Creek Cyprus Swamp Nature Center, one of the northernmost stands of bald cypress trees in North America, Tidewater School’s Upper Elementary class ran a wonderful “Jjngle Jar” fundraiser in December 2022 and raised over $400.00 for the Battle Creek Cyprus Swamp Nature Center in Prince Frederick, MD. Jingle jars included great soup ingredients, dog treats and cookie ingredients. Our students were so happy to be able to contribute to a wonderful place that is home to both amazing trees and amazing animals.
