Spanish

The Tidewater School

Windows of opportunity for language occur very young. Spanish begins in Tidewater’s Primary classrooms and gradually becomes an integral part of the daily school life of our elementary students. Tidewater students experience Spanish instruction in context with hands-on, active participation and includes music, movement, conversation, and stories. Within each of our classrooms, there are dedicated spaces for our students to practice the lessons presented. Our goal is to build confidence with both written and spoken Spanish to serve as a foundation for future language study. In addition to these skills, students of all ages develop a love for the Spanish language and culture.
